Wellness Rituals Meet Connection
Traditional sauna facilities often miss opportunities to foster social connection and enhance well-being through meaningful nature engagement. Addressing those gaps, this project transformed the conventional sauna concept into a community-centered, nature-based wellness sanctuary. Sage Creative worked in close collaboration with project founders, architects, and contractors to develop and protect a coherent design vision that would deliver a truly differentiated wellness experience. Through competitor analysis, on-site research, and collaborative visioning sessions, we developed evidence-based design guidelines, space programming, and a comprehensive design strategy for the site. Outputs provided the client with clear documentation to guide architectural development in line with their goals.

Designing for user experience
The focus for this project was crafting a user journey which, by leveraging principles of environmental psychology, would foster restoration and social connectedness. We mapped critical touchpoints from arrival to departure, identifying where subtle design interventions could elevate routine moments into meaningful experiences.
By establishing clear "must-have" design criteria and providing visual direction through mood boards and material palettes, we ensured the client's vision would remain intact throughout the technical development process.
